This German drink is inspired by the pina colada. This cocktail has equal parts white rum and vodka mixed with pineapple juice and cream, with blue curacao creating the signature blue color. Although this version is shaken, you can blend it with ice for the perfect summer drink.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ounce of white rum
  • 1 ounce of vodka
  • 1 ounce of blue curacao 
  • 2 ounces of heavy cream
  • 2 ounces of coconut cream
  • Ice

Instructions:

  1. Add the rum, vodka, heavy cream, and coconut cream to a shaker with ice and shake.
  2. Add the blue curacao last and shake again to attain color.
  3. Serve in a tall glass, and enjoy!

Jungle Juice

Jungle juice is a popular large-scale drink at college parties because of how easy and even nonsensical it is to make. However, it’s a fun drink to make, and you can truly make it with anything you can find and whatever’s in your liquor cabinet. That said, rum and vodka are the perfect mix for this drink. Just make sure that you have a large punch bowl.

Ingredients:

  • Bottle of rum of choice
  • Bottle of vodka of choice
  • 1 pint of strawberries, cut (or fruit of your choice)
  • 1 cup of orange slices
  • 1 gallon of lemonade
  • ½ gallon of fruit juice of your choice
  • ½ gallon of fruit punch
  • Optional 2 cups of club soda

Instructions:

  1. Add your strawberries to the bottom of your punch bowl.
  2. Pour in all of the juices and liquor and stir well.
  3. Top with club soda and orange slices
  4. If you can, let the punch sit overnight to blend the flavors.

Long Island Iced Tea

This drink is a little more than just vodka and rum. Known as the tea without any tea, Long Island iced tea combines rum, vodka, gin, and tequila. One of these drinks is enough to feel a buzz the entire night.

  • 1 ounce of vodka
  • 1 ounce of white rum
  • 1 ounce of tequila
  • 1 ounce of gin
  • 1 ounce of triple sec
  • 1 ounce of simple syrup
  • 1 ounce of lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • Coca-Cola to top
  • Optional lemon for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Add the rum, vodka, tequila, gin, simple syrup, triple sec, and lemon juice to a highball glass filled with ice.
  2. Top with a splash of the cola and stir.
  3. Add garnish lemon wedge and serve.
